Natural and Herbal Health Resources

This page is where I store resources for herbalism and natural health (outside of diet and nutrition, which is on the Paleo Diet page).  I actively use most of these resources.  A couple of them I do not recommend, but have them here because they are relevant and I know people are looking for them.  If I do not recommend a resource, I am clear about it in the description.

General Herbalism Books

Herbal Recipes for Vibrant Health by Rosemary Gladstar - I love Rosemary Gladstar's books, so a lot of them show up on this list.  If you only get one herbal book I recommend it be this one.  It has very easy to follow recipes and is good foundational material for learning how to use herbs.

Rosemary Gladstar's Medicinal Herbs: A Beginner's Guide - If you think that Herbal Recipes for Vibrant Health will be too thick or in-depth for you, this is a good choice as it has simpler material and fewer plants.

Herbal Healing for Women and Herbal Healing for Men by Rosemary Gladstar - Very gendered books, of course, but these are the two books I reference most when trying to create a good trans men's herbalism practice.

Herbal Antivirals and Herbal Antibiotics by Stephan Harrod Bruhner - If you're going to be getting into some serious herbal stuff, these are good books for that.  I don't recommend relying on them but it's good information to know and much more evidence-based than a lot of other herbal books.

General Women's and AFAB Health Books

Our Bodies, Ourselves by the Boston Women's Health Book Collective - This is more trans inclusive than the cover would imply, this is a thick, classic book on women's health issues.
